1) Do social networking sites have a minimum age?
There is a minimum age to have a profile on a networking site, but it is very easy to lie and change your age in order to obtain an account.

2) What is "hash tagging"?
The # symbol, called a hash-tag is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet; it was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.

3) Do sites like Facebook have privacy controls?
Yes, but they need to be controlled by the user.

4) Are there safe sites for my younger children to use for socializing?
Although many sites have privacy controls, most times children and predators can weave around them. However, there are a few sites that are safe as well. Click here to learn about them.

5) What is "sexting"?
Sexting is the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photographs, primarily between mobile phones. The term was first popularized around 2005, and is a mix of sex and texting, where the latter is meant in the wide sense of sending a text possibly with images.

6) Is there a way I can limit what my child can view on YouTube?
Yes, there are filters for inappropriate content, however they may not always work block the right content.
